No cookies, no tracking

European rules (the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR) require consent before a website stores or reads information on your device, unless it is strictly necessary. We do not do that at all: no cookies, no localStorage or sessionStorage, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no advertising and no analytics. There is nothing to consent to, so we do not ask.

Fonts and scripts, including those used by the films and explorations on this domain, are hosted here rather than fetched from Google Fonts or a public CDN, so reading a page does not tell any third party that you visited.

Some pages show a video poster. Until you press it, nothing is requested from YouTube. Pressing play is your choice to load YouTube’s player (from youtube-nocookie.com) in that spot. From then on, YouTube, operated by Google, receives your IP address and may store cookies or similar data on your device, under Google’s privacy policy. If you would rather not, every video also has a plain link to watch it on YouTube directly, or you can simply not press play. Reloading the page removes the player; you can clear anything YouTube stored in your browser settings.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. To deliver pages and protect the service, GitHub and its network provider process technical data about each request, including your IP address, and may keep it in logs for a limited period. We do not receive or use these logs. See the GitHub privacy statement. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

There are no forms on this site. If you write to info@intuitionmachine.com, we use your name, address and what you tell us only to reply and, if you ask, to discuss working together (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). We do not add you to a mailing list or share your message with anyone outside the people working on your enquiry, and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed for that purpose.

Our email runs on Google’s Gmail service, so Google stores and processes messages on our behalf, including on servers outside the EU, under Google’s privacy policy and its data processing terms. We are based in the United States, so the messages you send us are handled there.

If what this site does changes, for instance if we ever add analytics, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it and update this page.
